Hi, welcome to Foundry 45s. Today we have Brian Perzer Product Manager Training at Lufthansa Cargo. Hey Brian, where do you see training organizations getting the most value out of deploying VR?
Hi, Dave, thanks for inviting me to the session today. I see three points here. Point one. Let’s first talk about skills retention. There are plenty of studies showing that there is at least an 80% skill retention level for those who have learned within or using VR. So I’d say this type of training is best for those who physically do something or those who learn best by seeing and doing so they need to touch and feel and they learn. Point two is through an emotional connection. It is clear that virtual reality (VR) is an emotional amplifier, whether positive and negative and no other training that I know of, has a method that can compete with this. And point three learning virtual reality is a safe environment. It is definitely pandemic-ready. And there is no equipment downtime, so I only see positives here.
