FOUNDRY 45s – S01E09 – Christopher Lind from Learning Sharks and GE

Hi, welcome to Foundry 45s, where we give you 45 seconds of insights from training leaders around the world. Today, we’re excited to have Christopher Lind of Learning Sharks and GE. Hey, Christopher, what are the biggest challenges you’re currently experiencing with your training programs?

I’ll narrow it down to one that I think is probably at the root of all the issues that I see coming out of it, and that one is, our ability both internal with our stakeholders, whether it’s L&D business stakeholders, whoever you’re talking about is our ability to step outside this box of what we’ve known, right? This is at the forefront of all these challenges because we have a hard time stepping outside of that and saying, Well, what if those rules didn’t exist? How would we do things? Because the reality is tech is allowing us to do all these things that we’ve never been able to do before yet we keep walking back into what I call the Stockholm Syndrome of L&D, and it continues to be a challenge for us to actually step outside that box and reimagine the possibilities.
